Third parties interested in using photos must purchase rights through ShanDru.
We own and retain the right to post and publish photos after the client has done so.
We do not share RAW files and do not keep RAW files longer than 1 week after project is complete.

Blog Shoots are defined with the sole purpose of photographing content to be posted to a personal blog or Instagram account.
Blog shoots are booked by the hour. Typically, 3-5 looks can be photographed within an hour. The hour of photography may be used to photograph outfits, products, sponsored posts, lifestyle posts, health, fitness, recipes, etc. for blog photos or Instagram photos. ShanDru is not expected to style flatlays or product shots, but may help if necessary. Please prepare these beforehand, if possible. This is for the client’s benefits as you will get more shots done in an hour.
It is recommended to book blog photos 1-2 weeks in advance. We are happy to consult on locations and times for blog shoots. The standard travel reimbursement rates will be charged for locations outside of San Francisco, Marin, or San Jose.
Up to 40 images taken will be edited to correct color, tone, and lighting. They will be delivered within 3-5 days unless otherwise requested for an additional cost. All photos will be delivered via Pixieset to be downloaded in the appropriate resolution for web sizing or printing.
Same Day Edits: Rush editing requested before the quoted 3-5 days is subject to a rush editing fee.
An invoice can be requested after the shoot, otherwise all payments can be made via venmo, cash, check, or PayPal at the time of the shoot.

Retouching: ShanDru does minor retouching to any photo we think needs it. If this is not something you want, please let us know. Retouching comes with our shoot fee. However, specific retouching requests after photos are received will be subject to an additional fee and must be requested within 24 hours.
Late fee: A charge of $15 will automatically be billed to clients arriving more than 15 minutes after their scheduled booking time. Shoots are sometimes scheduled back-to-back and being late can significantly affect other client’s shoots.
CANCELLATIONS
In fairness to clients who need photography and receive photos on certain dates, there are two types of cancellation policies in place.
Late Cancellation: A $50 charge will be applied to cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled shoot and a $75 charge will be applied to cancellations made within 2 hours of a scheduled shoot. Conversely, if ShanDru is more than 15 minutes late, a $50 discount will be applied to your shoot.
ShanDru realizes that there are extreme circumstances and things do come up, but this policy is put in place so that mutual respect is established between both parties.

Blog: Photos posted to blog: credit “Photos by ShanDru Photography” at the bottom of the post. A link to www.shandru.com in addition would be greatly appreciated, as well.
THIRD-PARTY INTEREST (SHARING PHOTOS)
We love seeing your work shared by businesses and brands, but because this is a relatively new field, standards can be misunderstood or overlooked, but we are here to help! If a business, brand, company, website, or any other third party outside of your photographer or yourself wishes to use your photos, please contact ShanDru and we will either share or sell the photos to the interested party.
Blog photos are sent to the bloggers with a print/publishing release that gives permission only to the blogger to use the photos. Sharing photos without the consent of the photographer is a breach of contract and will be addressed as such.
SHANDRU RESERVES THE RIGHT
We totally understand that the client would like to post photos first and ShanDru will make sure that is always the case. However, Shandru does reserve the right to post photos taken for clients on the ShanDru website, Facebook, Instagram, and Newsletters after the client has posted. We do not divulge client business or personal information, but please contact us if there are any requests for privacy in posting photos. We understand photos with children are subject to a different standard and we will make a specific request to use those photos.
PROJECT ARCHIVES
Project archives are defined as completed photo shoots that will remain accessible on Pixieset for 1 month after the completion of the photo shoot. RAW images and/or original video footage may be deleted by the creator as soon 1 week after the project is sent to the client. If you have a special request for RAW photos, please let ShanDru know before the shoot.
PORTRAITS AND EVENT PHOTOS
Portraits and event photos will be billed according to the scope of the project. Email shannon@shandru.com for pricing and packages.
The price includes access to edited photos online via Pixieset.
Photos per hour: Client will receive up to 30 edited photos per hour of photographing and will be delivered within 2 weeks unless otherwise requested. If rush editing is requested, an additional fee will be added. Please let ShanDru know about rush editing needs at booking, so scheduling can be put in place to make that happen.
Please note: A $250 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking. If ShanDru does not receive the deposit, then it is to be assumed that the event has not been booked and is not on ShanDru’s calendar.
Payment: An invoice will be emailed after the scheduled shoot or event and should be paid within 24 hours of Pixieset album delivery. All payments can be made via venmo, cash, check, or PayPal.
