Maskcara Beauty Review

Maskcara Beauty Review

I have the same beauty routine every day, but when Maskcara Beauty reached out to me to do a review of their contour tins, I was game. I usually just wake up in the morning and use my tinted moisturizer. It evens out my skin tone and protects my oh so precious face from the sun. However, after using just tinted moisturizer, I've realized I always look pale or sickly. I’m just one big blog of beige and it doesn’t look right. Our face naturally has shadows in certain areas- like the hollows of our cheeks and the outer edges of our hair line. When we even everything out with tinted moisturizer or foundation, we discolor those natural shadows. That’s where contouring comes in…

Let me start by saying, contouring is not scary. I repeat, CONTOURING IS NOT SCARY. I used to watch YouTube videos of beauty bloggers contouring their face and I would freak out! They looked like they were getting ready for their circus debut!! But, when they would blend everything out, they always looked SO DAMN GOOD.

After receiving my Maskcara Beauty contour palette about a month ago, I'm all about contouring now. It took me a little while to get used to it and perfect the craft. One day, I came out of the bathroom thinking I had just killed the contour game and my husband looked at me and said, "What the heck did you do to your nose?" PSA: don't go overboard on the nose! Just a little down each side. I've always been a big bronzer girl, but contouring is soooo much different. It takes some practice but this palette and brush make it super simple. Definitely set your face with a setting powder and spray afterward to keep everything in place. I highly recommend purchasing this palette, since it is customizable to your skin tone. Plus, how aesthetically pleasing is their packaging?!
